Welcome
The Tuckahoe Union Free School District is located approximately 25 minutes north of midtown Manhattan in a small, suburban community adjacent to the Village of Bronxville, New York. The Tuckahoe Schools service the Town of Eastchester in the communities of Tuckahoe, Bronxville Manor, and Chester Heights, totaling in enrollment of approximately 1,100 students grades K-12. This small school setting has fostered a unique educational environment with the added personal touch of a small town within the largest metropolitan area in the United States. The strength that comes from within a small town, such as Tuckahoe, has been tested and trusted many times; a strong pride is shared by all that call Tuckahoe home.

2012-13 Pre-School Applicaton
Pre-School Application 2012-2013:
The application for 2012-13 pre-school is available for download by clicking here on this link. (Adobe Acrobat required.) This application will be available online and at the District office until January 27, 2012. The application is due to the District office at 65 Siwanoy Boulevard, Eastchester, NY 10709 no later than Friday, January 27, 2012.
Important Changes to District Calendar
Important changes had to be made to the Tuckahoe School District calendar for 2011-12. Please read the notice from the Superintendent by clicking here.
First change: William E. Cottle Parent/Teacher Conference Days have changed. Thursday, March 22, 2012 and Friday, March 23, 2012 will be full days of school for all students including Cottle students. Thursday, May 3, 2012 and Friday, May 4, 2012 Cottle students will dismiss at 11AM for Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Second change: Superintendent Conference Days originally scheduled on Monday, May 14, 2012 and Monday, May 21, 2012 have moved to Friday, April 20 and Friday, April 27, 2012. Therefore, all students will attend a full day of classes on Monday, May 14 and Monday, May 21, 2012. There will be no classes on Friday, April 20, 2012 and Friday, April 27, 2012.
Third change: There will be a full day of school for all children on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.
Parents - Time to Update your K12Alert Email and Text-to-cell Accounts
The TUFSD updates the telephone alert system at the start of each school year. But, parents create and maintain their own K12 Alert email and text-to-cell accounts. Please update your account yearly to reflect your child(ren)’s current grade and school (WEC, TMS, THS). Otherwise, you will not get the text-to-cell and email notifications intended.

Children's Safety Notice
When dropping off or picking up children from school, please turn your car motor off. Many cars are left idling with no one behind the wheel creating a potentially dangerous situation for children playing or walking outside.
It is also a health issue.
